Clare Teal presents the best in big band sounds old and new - with a disc jockey theme. Featuring music written for, by and about some of the great jazz and big band broadcasters of yesteryear. Including New York based Symphony Sid Torin (Jumping with Symphony Sid), the Voice of America's Willis Conover (Take the 'A' Train), Radio 2's very own Alan Dell immortalised in pianist Bill McGuffie's composition Alan's Dell and 'the hippest man in Hollywood', Chuck Niles.
