Pig Crisis, Agricultural Wages and capitalising on Wildlife Tourism

The pig industry in Wales is in crisis - with rocketing feed prices and cheap imports many producers are struggling to stay in business. According to the number of pigs in Wales has more than halved in a decade.

Should the , which has been protecting pay and conditions for farm workers for the last 60 years be retained in Wales? Two years ago the UK government decided to abolish the Board but this week in the Senedd Mick Antoniw, the member for Pontypridd launched the case for the retaining it claiming that thousand of workers would be forced into poverty in rural Wales. We speak to the who are backing Mr Antoniw's calls and the who agree with the abolition of the board saying it's outdated.

And It's been exciting times at recently as restoration work is underway on one of Wales' great historic houses. The gardens have come along way since their derelict state less than 15 years ago but now an extensive programme will see the restoration of the main hall, the reinstating of an elegant staircase, and work on the interior of the East Wing of this historic grade II listed house.
