Your reactions to the US gurdwara shooting

Dil Neiyyar sits in for Nihal and asks for your reaction to the US gurdwara shooting in Wisconsin. And should Asians who came over from Uganda be proud of their African heritage?

Dil Neiyyar asks what's your reaction to the US Gurdwara shootings?

Seven people, including a gunman, have died in a shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin in the US. Officials haven't yet given a possible motive, but Sikh organisations in the US say the community has been vulnerable since the 9/11 attacks. Those comments would appear to be backed up by American Sikhs being attacked in the past by assailants mistaking them for Muslims.

This tragedy has shocked the American Sikh community but how will this affect British Sikhs? Are you shocked that something like this would happen in America?

Later on, Should Asians who came over from Uganda be proud of their African heritage?

It was forty years ago that Idi Amin expelled the asian community from the country.
An Asian Network Reports special at 6 tonight presented by Rupal Rajani will give testimonies of a number of Ugandan Asians who were affected by the expulsion. Are you a Ugandan Asian listener? And if so, what sort of stories have been passed down to you about what happened during that period? Maybe you were one of those who was thrown out of the country? If so, do you hold onto your Ugandan heritage with pride? Or can you never forgive the country for what happened to you?
