Festival Fringe Newbie

Comedian Jamie Dalgleish is a complete Fringe newbie. Ahead of his first solo run of Edinburgh shows, he meets some festival veterans for tips and advice on surviving Edinburgh.

Glasgow East-End comedian Jamie Dalgleish won last year's Scottish Comedian of the Year Award. His prize? A solo run of shows at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In this special edition of the Zone, Jamie takes us around Edinburgh as he meets some veterans of the Edinburgh comedy scene for tips and advice on how to survive his month of performances.

He'll meet previous winner Ro Campbell, king of the one-liners Tim Vine, and fellow Glasgow-boy Des Clarke. Plus he'll chat to his very own comedy hero Frank Skinner and receive some words of wisdom from British comedy legend, Nicholas Parsons.

And all this whilst the butterflies flap heavily in his stomach ahead of his first night. How ever will he cope...???
