It's Monday. Phoebe's set to fly home to Ambridge, and delighted by her leaving gifts from Delia and Michael. Things are still tense between Kate and Lucas, with Kate heading out suddenly - clearly with something to do. Delia presses Lucas over who damaged Kate's car. Lucas covers the truth, and gets Phoebe to back him up.
Later, Delia tries to give Kate a talking to about her family and their future. However, Kate reinforces the fact that Delia doesn't know what's going on.
Lucas comforts emotional Phoebe, who's finding it hard to say goodbye. She feels awful that she caused Lucas to be in danger. Kate approaches Phoebe and tries to apologise and explain herself. Phoebe doesn't want to hear and tells Kate she should try to do the right thing for a change - rather than just use words.
Kate tells Lucas she has quit college... and Johan. All she wants now is to be with her family. She promises to devote herself - if Lucas agrees to forgive her. Phoebe stuns Kate by asking Lucas to drive her to the airport alone. Kate says an awkward but emotional goodbye. In the car, Phoebe asks Lucas if he can give Kate a second chance. He replies that yes... he can.
