Janice Forsyth meets the new cast bringing Still Game back to the stage, plus spoof boyband The Midnight Beast talk about getting 48 million YouTube hits and their own TV show.
Janice Forsyth meets co-director and actor Gary Miller and his fellow actors John Love and Chris McKiddie from Sonic Boom Theatre Productions who are bringing Still Game back to the stage for the first time since the original production, and asks them about the daunting task of portraying Jack, Victor and Winston on the stage; and Julia Sutherland asks the audience for their reaction to seeing the much-loved telly characters played by new actors in the theatre.
Mark Robb, owner and DJ at the Rio Cafe in Partick, Glasgow, is undertaking a new pop-up venture called The Rio Club as part of the Glasgow Jazz Festival this weekend. He's popping into the studio to tell Janice about the comedy lineup in Merchant Square this Sunday.
Parody boyband The Midnight Beast achieved an incredible 48 million hits on YouTube for their spoof songs and have just been given their own TV show on E4. Not bad for three school friends who started off making a home-made spoof of a K$sha song. The boys are joining Janice to talk about their new-found fame, scripted comedy series, and being compared to Flight of the Conchords, the Monkees, the Beastie Boys and the Inbetweeners gone musical.
