with Des O'Connor and Keane's Tom Chaplin
It's another star-studded line-up, as Graham welcomes theatreland's latest Wizard of Oz, Des O'Connor, and chart-topping band Keane into studio 6C for a natter.
This week Graham's 'I Can't Believe It's Not Better' was chosen from William Grant who lives on the other side of the pond in Boston, Massachusetts. Falco's 'Rock Me Amadeus', a 1986 No.1, proved to be a popular choice and the feedback was 99% positive!
First up in 'Grill Graham', there was Linda from Bexhill-on-Sea, who was getting sick and tired of her boss taking the credit for all her good ideas at work. Then, Belinda in Ealing was looking for advice on how to avoid eating horrible cakes and drinking terrible wine that friends always bring when she hosts a dinner party.
Graham's first guest of the day was national treasure, Des O'Connor, who spoke of his current role as the Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium, a theatre he's performed at over on more than 1,200 occasions! Des also spoke about being the butt of many a Morecambe & Wise comedy routine, when he was bitten on the nose by Elaine Paige's dog, and letting Linford Christie win in his son's 'Father's Race' at a school sports day.
'Human' by The Killers was this week's 'Tune With A Tale' as chosen by Martin Cheek, a mosaic artist from Broadstairs. Martin lives next door to Bleak House and he used to animate Paddington Bear!
After 12, Tom Chaplin, lead singer of top British band Keane dropped into the studio to chat about their latest album 'Strangeland'. Tom spoke about how he has big respect for Sir Paul McCartney, how he often forgets lyrics when on stage and how their next single is named after a real life caf茅.
