Courses for victims of Domestic Violence.
Get your calls in to Nihal as he asks whether going on a course is the best way to deal with violent partner. Plus family lawyer Aina Khan is the guru.
At 1, 'Is going on a course the best way to deal with violent partner?'
An organisation called the "Freedom Programme" is running courses which aims to help women who deal with abusive relationships. They give women advice and coping strategies and confidence during a twelve week programme but crucially they don't encourage women to leave their partners.
What do you think about this? Does this have echoes of the old "community advice" not leave to a violent husband and work through your problems. Advice that has obvious dangers for the women involved. Or do you think this is a positive step? If women can be trained to handle their partners better and have better information about their situation that has to be a good thing?
After 2, Family lawyer Aina Khan is our Guru.
If you have questions about custody of children or wanting to know more about pre-nups then get your questions in for Aina Khan.
