Susan Hulme reports on the proceedings at Westminster as David Cameron defends the Government's controversial welfare changes as "right and fair".
His comments came ahead of votes in the Commons to overturn amendments, agreed by peers, to the legislation which would introduce a cap on the benefits any one household can claim.
The Labour Leader, Ed Miliband, attacks the coalition's flagship health plans urging David Cameron to listen to the public and professions and "drop this unwanted Bill".
While up on the committee corridor, the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, tells peers that a referendum on Scottish independence should be held soon and with a single clear question.
