Durrell, one of the best selling English novelists of the twentieth century, is best known for The Alexandria Quartet, an evocation of Egypt before and during World War II. Matthew is joined by the novelist Joanna Kavenna and by Joanna Hodgkin, the daughter of Durrell's first wife, to discuss the writer's life and work.
