The traditional celebration of the Nativity from the Chapel of King's College, Cambridge, begins with a solo choirboy singing Once In Royal David's City and marks the real start of Christmas for people all over the United Kingdom.

The story of Christ's birth is told in the well-loved words of the King James' Bible and Christmas poems by Robert Southwell, U. A. Fanthorpe and T. S. Eliot. The famous Chapel choir under the direction of Stephen Cleobury sings carols old and new, including such favourites as O Little Town of Bethlehem, Silent Night, In Dulci Jubilo, Angels from the Realms of Glory, Bethlehem Down, and many others.
