Peter Scudamore, the most successful jockey in National Hunt history during his career, reveals the secrets behind his time in the saddle and as a top trainer.

8/8 Eight times champion jockey Peter Scudamore won a record breaking 1,678 times in his career.

Racing was in his blood, his father Michael rode nearly five hundred winners including Oxo in the 1959 Grand National.

Peter won his first race in 1979 and rode some of the best known horses of the era including Burrough Hill Lad and Corbiere before retiring after winning on Sweet Duke at Ascot in 1993.

Now a racing journalist and commentator Peter is also assistant trainer at a stables near Milnathort.

Talking openly to Bryan Cooney about his relationship with the trainers Martin Pipe and Jenny Pitman, Peter also discloses how he faces up to fear and why he thinks there are no good racing tipsters.
