We have a smorgasbord of festival talent - Antonio Forcione, The Fitzrovia Radio Hour, Fiona Kennedy and Casablanca.
Antonio Forcione - We have live music and chat from The Fringe's favourite guitarist(who has just launched his first new album in five years). This year his special guests are internationally renowned Kora player, Seckou Keita, from Senegal and Brazilian percussionist, Adriano Adewale. Three musicians, true masters. Prepare to be amazed, enchanted and entertained.
'Fitzrovia Radio Hour' - Celebrating an age when radio was brand new and radio drama was stuffed with more stereotypes and cut-glass accents than afternoon tea at Lords, Fitzrovia use new material to recreate the spirit of vintage radio plays for a modern audience. The show includes three rip-roaring tales: George Albion & the War of the Roses, Nazi Firemen in Westminster and Tin! All are new yet delightfully reminiscent of the golden age of radio!
Fiona Kennedy - Kist We hear from singer, broadcaster and producer, Fiona Kennedy, who is staging her new production, The Kist at this year's Fringe. The Kist is a musical celebration of our heritage through song and story and embraces all genres, from traditional folk, bluegrass, gospel, rock to American country.
Casablanca - A lovingly disrespectful homage to one of the classic films of all time, starring Gavin Mitchell, Clare Waugh and Jimmy Chisholm - a multi-tasking cast whisk you back to Morocco 1941, a Nazi-infested hotbed of corruption, teeming with refugees and all the flotsam and jetsam of war-torn Europe. Cut to Rick's bar where the 茅migr茅s gather, desperate to get hold of the all-elusive exit visa, when who should walk in but the beautiful Ilsa, Rick's long-lost love...
