CONCERT:
Tears for Fears, recorded Hammersmith Palais in 1983.
Tears for Fears formed in 1981 in Bristol.
They were formed by then teenagers Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith.
Their debut album The Hurting was released in the same year as this concert, and went to the top of the album charts in the UK.
They have released six studio albums in total, their last being Everybody Loves a Happy Ending.
They toured Australia and New Zealand last year with Spandau Ballet.
SESSIONS:
Voice of the Beehive, recorded for the Evening Session on 26th February 1988.
They were an Anglo-American college rock/ alternative band, formed in London in 1986 by Californian sisters Tracey Bryn and Melissa Brooke Belland.
They were daughters of the Four Preps singer Bruce Belland.
They released 3 albums between 1988 and 1995 - their debut Let it Bee coming out a few months after this session.
Woody Woodgate, who was drummer in the band, is now the drummer for Madness.
Shriekback, recorded on 2nd June 1985 for John Peel.
They are an English rock band, formed in Kentish Town in 1981.
The initial line up included Barry Andrews (ex- XTC and League of Gentlemen) and Dave Allen (ex Gang of Four).
They still continue to record and play live, their latest album - Life In The Loading Bay - coming out last December.
