Everybody knows Maxine Peake is one of the best british actors of her generation from Twinkle in Dinner Ladies to the high flying barrister in recent court room drama Silk. What you might not know though, is that she's a dye in the wool 6 music listener, who's record collection includes the likes of The Cramps, The Fall, the 70's cosmic rockers Hawkwind and last but by no means least Kendal's finest The Wild Beasts.
The Wild Beasts are back for their umpteenth session on the show ... they are Tom Fleming, Benny Little, Chris Talbot and Hayden Thorpe. The guys release their new album Smother on 9th May 2011 it's their fourth studio album. Other albums have been Limbo, Panto' and the Mercury-nominated, much-loved 'Two Dancers'.
