The British and US embassies in Tripoli have been attacked and Britain is expelling Libya's ambassador after reports that members of Gaddafi's family were killed in an airstrike.
The British Embassy in Tripoli has been burnt down following the death of Colonel Gaddafi's son and other members of his family in a NATO bombing raid. NATO says they were not targeting the Libyan leader - but it's been called an assassination attempt by his regime.
We speak to Lord West, a former head of the Navy and government security advisor, who tells the programme that NATO isn't specifically targetting Colonel Gaddafi. The foreign office minister Alistair Burt agrees, saying there's been no verification that reports out of Libya are accurate.
Also on the programme we hear from Francis Maude, minister for the Cabinet Office, and MPs Tim Farron, Heidi Alexander and Penny Mordaunt on the upcoming AV referendum.
