The Great Rock Pause...

Ray Mears speaks to Shaun about his new show Wild Britain. Plus Matt Everitt on those all important rock pauses and news of the strangest Flaming Lips release yet!

Ray Mears spoke to Shaun about his new show "Wild Britain" which sees the bushcraft and survival expert uncover some of the UK's finest habitats and rejoice in our fascinating wildlife, showing viewers how they can find their own relationship with the wild, even in places close to their homes. Like we said, he's a proper man!

Matt Everitt took a closer look at the all important great rock pause, which is the subject of a book by Jennifer Egan, A Visit From The Goon Squad, which has just been shortlisted for the Orange Prize.

Plus, Shaun offers up the perfect morning soundtrack for any music-lover; from northern soul to new folk; rock 'n' roll to indie disco. New tracks from the likes of Joan As Policewoman and TV On The Radio delightfully wrap around your semi-conscious ears, along with the best of the greatest back catalogues on the planet; be they Manic Street Preachers, David Bowie, Bjork, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Prince, Led Zeppelin, The Stooges......need we go on?

And, we come up with some feature ideas for other 6 Music presenters....think Tom Raves In Crufts......Rad Cliffs with Mark Radcliffe......well done everybody!
