Liverpool electro quartet Ladytron emerged from the ashes of the electroclash scene in the early 2000s, taking their cues from the Liverpool scene that gave birth to OMD and the infamous Eric's nightclub enshrined by Yazoo. As they prepare to release a retrospective of their last decade's work, including cult singles 'Playgirl' and 'Seventeen' the band discuss their journey in electronic music and play a selection of the synth sounds which inspired them.

Support comes from hotly tipped Brooklyn electro duo and in demand remid remixers, Holy Ghost. Signed to James Murphy's influential DFA label, the band made their first visit to the UK this month supporting Cut Copy. As they prepare to release their debut album, the band play a selection of music which has informed their sound, including New Order, Depeche Mode and Talking Heads, alongside current favourites from Nic Chacona, Sh Robot, and Midnight Magic.
