Would Asian characters spoil Midsomer Murders? Plus comedians from the Red Hot East Comedy show join Nihal in the studio. And we ask - do Asians have the worst teeth?

At 1, Would Asian characters spoil Midsomer Murders?

A gentleman called Brian True-May is in a lot of trouble. He's the producer of ITV1's long running series Midsomer Murders. In an interview ahead of the launch of the new series starting tomorrow, he says that he's deliberately kept Black and Asian characters out of the show because the show "wouldn't work" with ethnic minorities in it.

What do you think about this? We're talking about a prime time drama that's run for fourteen series. Do you think its strange that its only just been noticed that its all white when the producer points it out?

Mr True-May has been suspended from his job for his comments. He said about his all white drama "I'm trying to make something that appeals to a certain audience, which seems to succeed. And I don't want to change it." Is there anything wrong with that?

Would it make you switch off just because there are no ethnic characters? we've all seen examples where Asian characters have been forced into programmes and it hasn't worked. Better an all white drama than a repeat of the Ferreira family?

After 2, comedians Shazia Mirza, Paul Choudhury, Anil Desai from Red Hot East Comedy show join Nihal in studio. And we're asking, Do Asians have the worst teeth because of language problems or because they're too tight to pay for dental treatment?
