The Ombudsman has launched an investigation after a robber was shot dead by an off duty police officer in East Belfast
A community is in shock today after an off duty police officer shot a man dead in an East Belfast petrol station. It is believed the dead man, who was in his 20s, was armed with a knife and was trying to rob the business on the Albertbridge Road. The Police Ombudsman has launched an investigation into the fatal shooting.
