Formed in 1999, the Brooklyn-based band features the distinctive baritone vocals of Matt Berninger and two sets of brothers: Aaron (guitar, bass, piano) and Bryce Dessner (guitar), and Scott (bass, guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums). Their fifth album, High Violet, was released in the summer and was the first to be recorded at the band's own studio.
