Handel: Dixit Dominus

Robert Hollingworth explores Handel's Dixit Dominus, with examples and a complete performance of the work given by the 成人快手 Singers, St James's Baroque conducted by James O'Donnell.

Handel's Dixit Dominus is one of his earliest choral works, written in Rome in 1707 when he was just 22. Robert Hollingworth explores this youthful and vivacious work and is joined by James O'Donnell, who conducts the 成人快手 Singers and St James's Baroque in extracts and a complete performance of Dixit Dominus. The programme also includes a look at a project led by Tim Steiner with students from St Marylebone Church of England Secondary School.
