Groove Armada Special
Dave Pearce meets Andy Cato and Tom Findlay from Groove Armada, who talk about their life in dance music, plus there's an extract from their 2004 Radio 1 Essential Mix.
In a special 6 Mix, Dave Pearce meets Andy Cato and Tom Findlay from Groove Armada to talk about their life in dance music. One of the biggest dance acts in the UK, Groove Armada recently packed out the John Peel stage at Glastonbury and release a new single, History, featuring Will Young on vocals, at the end of this month. The duo, who have had massive hits over the last decade with 'Superstyling', 'I See You Baby' and 'At The River', tell Dave about how they met and their musical journey, which has taken them from Ibiza to the US and back to the UK; curating their own festival, 'Lovebox' and releasing their 80s inspired new album 'Black Light'. Tom and Andy also play the tracks which inspired them to make dance music, including tunes by Roxy Music, Adonis, A Guy Called Gerald and Daft Punk. In the final 30 minutes of the programme there's another chance to hear an extract from their 2004 Essential Mix, first broadcast on 成人快手 Radio 1.
