Two live bands this evening .. we spoil you ... Field Music and The Acorn yippee. Both playing gigs in Manchester so it would be a shame not to have them both - that's our reasoning

Field Music was originally formed in 2005 by two brothers from Sunderland, Peter and David Brewis. The band now consists for Peter, David, guitarist/keyboardist Kev Dosdale and bass player Ian Black. Former keyboard player Andrew Moore left in 2007 to become a chef.

After the release of their album 'Tones Of The Town' in 2007 the brothers went to work on their own separate projects, releasing albums 'The Week That Was' (Peter) and 'School of Language' (David).

February 2010 saw the release of their 20 track album 'Field Music (Measure)'

We've also got an little acoustic set from Canadian's The Acorn who are in town .. they're going to do the gig than bob down and play for us .. that's so kind of them ... Marc is a huge fan of the chaps so another double whammy for bands tonight ... Marc's like a pig in you know what!!!

The Acorn's new album No Ghost is out this month.
