The first programme of performances recorded live in Paris and given by the city's two radio symphony orchestras. Today's programme, introduced by Louise Fryer, majors on music from Russia and includes concertos by Rachmaninov and Shostakovich - and the thrilling score that Prokofiev drew from his film music for Alexander Nevsky.
