The Blockheads in Session on the Funk and Soul Show as 6 Music celebrate the life of Ian Dury. 10 years after his death, we are still singing his songs and a film of his life is demonstrating his enduring impact. 6 Music dedicate the whole day of the 27th to the great man culminating in a very special session for the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show. Ian Dury and the Blockheads were heavily influenced by Funk as you can hear from their earlier albums. Craig talks to the band about the influence of black American music on their music.
