The Telford International Centre promises an electric atmosphere as world number one Ronnie O'Sullivan takes centre stage. The Rocket crashed out of the tournament in the early stages in 2008, so will look for a good start in his opening match. Eight frames are played in the afternoon session, with the conclusion of the match in the evening session.
Former UK champions Steve Davis and John Parrott are alongside Hazel Irvine in the studio, and Dennis Taylor, Willie Thorne, John Virgo, Ken Doherty, Terry Griffiths and Neal Foulds commentate.
