Tom Ravenscroft sits in for Tom Robinson and plays tracks from artists as diverse as Science Fiction Dance Party and Melt Banana Lite.

Tom Ravenscroft sits in for Tom Robinson with two hours of brand new music and mixes from bands at the very cutting edge of pop, rock and dance.

The son of the late venerable Radio 1 DJ John Peel, Tom shares his father's love of the maverick music-makers of all generations. Tune in to hear tracks from bands as varied as Science Fiction Dance Party who combine the space rock compositions of Jean-Jacques Perrey with the earlier experiments of Joe Meek, as well as the tireless Melt Banana Lite. They're playing live across the US and Canada every single night until the 16th December and although they're not scheduled to play in the UK in the near future, their current live album provides a taster of the experience.

Tom Ravenscroft regularly presents on 成人快手 6 Music and also hosts Global Soundtracks, an experimental music podcast.
