In this one-hour special, the whole Beechgrove team are present and correct in Colinton near Edinburgh.

Colinton Primary School has some very ambitious ideas for creating a garden for the school and community on an old WWII firing range.

The school's population is made up of around 90 percent army families from the nearby Dreghorn and Redford barracks. By definition, the school's roll is transient and the community hope that the garden, called 'Room to Grow', will be something fixed and growing for families to be involved with and return to. Some of the families involved will be returning from difficult situations around the world and it is hoped that the garden will be a therapeutic place to work in, to enjoy and share.

The Golden Lions parachute team bring in some special plants for the garden, but most importantly, they have given their time, talents and muscle to building the garden.

The Beechgrove team are on hand to help with the finishing stages of the garden as well as solving a few garden problems for army families. Leanne Sharp, the deputy head teacher in charge of the project, goes on a personal journey to glean advice and ideas from some of the previous Edinburgh community gardens that we have featured in the past few years.
