Blur bassist Alex James co-hosts with Shaun live from his farmhouse, where he'll be helping 6 Music celebrate Harvest Festival with live music, cheese tasting and animal husbandry.

Blur bassist Alex James is set to co-host the 成人快手 6 Music Breakfast Show with Shaun Keaveny, live from his very big farm in the country on Friday 18th September 7-10am. 6 Music is celebrating the British tradition of Harvest Festival in its own inimitable way as Shaun Keaveny gets his wellies on for an eclectic countryside combination of live music, cheese-tasting, animal husbandry and a tour of the many-acre farm. Alex and the breakfast team will put to the test the age old question of which music produces better eggs: classical music... or Blur. On the Thursday night they'll be playing one chicken a Blur album, and one chicken a Bach concerto, and on Friday morning all will be revealed live on air as the respective eggs are served up for breakfast to see which tastes better.Broadcasting live from the kitchen, there is music courtesy of Folk singer Laura Marling and acoustic troubadour Johnny Flynn. Records on the show will come from 6 Music listener suggestions for tracks that remind them of the great outdoors plus a selection from Alex's collection. 6 Music listeners will also be treated to an introduction to cheese from Alex, as Music News' Matt Everitt tastes the latest varieties and Shaun performs the smell test (he's more a Cheese Triangles man). Plus Matt will pit his wits against Alex in a music quiz and Shaun Keaveny will be enlisting listener help to find out which is the best village in the UK.
