On the eve of the anniversary of Lionel Hampton's death, Clare Teal celebrates "the King of the Vibes" and also spotlights the troubled life of one of Jazz's finest saxophonists, Art Pepper. From his long association with the Kenton band, his touring with Buddy Rich right through to probably his greatest album, "Art Pepper Plus 11".
