Lauren delivers a pacy end to Saturday afternoons with chat and new tunes, plus she chats to John Endeacott from 1965 Records and gets an insight into White Denim.

New music, new ideas and a trip to the edge of musical normality.... Lauren gets the facts your really care about from your favourite bands: who's a twitcher, who's in to gardening, and who's their favourite character in The Soprannos.

This week she finds out how the world is according to the garage rockers White Denim. The trio from Austin, Texas recently released their third album Fits. And to celebrate Independents Day, Lauren chats with 1965 records head honcho James Endeacott. James signed The Strokes and The Libertines whilst he was working for Rough Trade, and set up 1965 records in 2006. Independence Day 2009 is a week of celebrations focusing on the independent sector.
