Another chance to enjoy 'Mighty Arms Of Atlas: The Led Zeppelin Story' (1/2), Alan Freeman's profile of Led Zeppelin, which was first broadcast in 1990. It follows the rock band's story from their early days, rising from the ashes of The Yardbirds, up to the release of their fourth album.
This is followed by an hour of classic rock concerts and sessions. Tonight's line-up includes Deep Purple's 1985 reunion concert at Knebworth, with a slew of their best-loved songs, from the classic organ-grinding opener 'Black Knight' through to the obligatory 'Smoke On The Water'. There's also Therapy? in session for John Peel back in 1995; Killing Joke's first ever Peel session from 1979; German metal band Accept playing on Radio 1's Friday Rock Show back in 1983, and Monster Magnet playing in session the same year.
