14/04/2009 Erik Bosgraaf, LPO and Katie Mitchell

Presented by Sean Rafferty. With recorder player Erik Bosgraaf, soloists of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and director Katie Mitchell on her new multimedia work.

Sean Rafferty presents a selection of music and guests from the arts world.

Recorder player Erik Bosgraaf talks about his concert of Handel at the Temple Church, London, on the 250th anniversary of the composer's death. He also discusses his passion for the works of fellow Dutch composers and commisioning new works.

Ahead of a concert at the Wigmore Hall, London, soloists of the London Philharmonic Orchestra - including three members of the Garlitsky family - perform works by Dvorak and Brahms in the studio.

And director Katie Mitchell talks about her new multimedia work inspired by Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, which combines live music, theatre and film.
