The London Handel Orchestra and countertenor Daniel Taylor perform arias and concerti grossi by Handel marking the 250th anniversary in 2009 of the composer's death.
Catherine Bott presents a concert given by the London Handel Orchestra directed by Adrian Butterfield, as part of the 2009 London Handel Festival, marking the 250th anniversary of the composer's death. An annual fixture since 1978, the festival continues to lead the way in the revival of Handel's music in the UK.
Countertenor Daniel Taylor sings some of the best Italian arias written by Handel to showcase the exceptional talents of the castrato, Senesino, who was a big star in his day.
