Candlemas

The team explores how the Candlemas festival was named and tours a candle-making factory in Liverpool, and Aled Jones performs Geoffrey Burgon's setting of Nunc Dimittis.

As the days begin to get lighter and we get a little closer to spring, Songs of Praise celebrates Candlemas. We find out how the festival gets its name, tour a candle-making factory in Liverpool and meet the mum who had to get permission from Mother Theresa to adopt a blind girl from India.
