Sally Magnusson follows the ancient pilgrimage route from London to Canterbury, accompanied by historian Martin Palmer. Their journey takes them to the Tower of London, Greenwich, Aylesford Priory and concludes at Canterbury Cathedral.

Sally discovers the lasting appeal of pilgrimages along the way and, with the Lambeth Conference about to begin, Martin tells the stories of four former Archbishops of Canterbury. The music includes the hymns For All the Saints, Be Thou My Vision and Who Would True Valour See.
