Documentary which looks at the life and work of American-Irish poet-philosopher, essayist and undertaker, Thomas Lynch. To undertake, Lynch says, is to bind oneself to the performance of a task, to pledge to get it done. This commitment to completion, to assigning meaning to our little remarkable histories, is evident in all of his writing, which is explored in a film set in both America and Ireland.
