Last year's winner Bryn Williams and rival Matt Tebbutt will now cook their entire menus for the panel, who will then name the chef going through to the national final.
Fourteen chefs compete for the chance to convince the French that we can match them when it comes to gastronomic prowess. The prize is to cook a fantastic four course banquet hosted by the British Ambassador to France. The banquet will be held at the magnificent Embassy in Paris, which has a proud reputation for championing the best of British.
Reigning Welsh champion Bryn Williams has been fighting to retain his title against stiff competition from new challenger Matt Tebbutt. The chefs have cooked a different course from their original four course menu, now they will cook their entire menus and present them to the panel of food experts, whose task it is to decide which chef will be triumphant and go on to represent Wales in the national final. The pressure is well and truly on as there can be only one winner. Will it be Bryn with his simple sophistication or will Matt鈥檚 direct and uncomplicated approach to food shine through?
