Hosted by comedian Rob Beckett All Together Now, is the nation’s favourite Saturday night singalong contest, where getting everyone up on their feet and joining in could win you £50,000. In each episode, a range of talented singers take to the stage eager to impress TV’s biggest judging panel - ‘The 100’. Headed up by Spice Girl Geri Horner, The 100 are a unique mix of one hundred singers, experts and performers from every corner of the music industry.

Any kind of singer can take to the stage, from soloists to groups, amateurs to professionals, but they all have one simple aim - to get as many of The 100 singing along with their performance, because the more of The 100 who join in, the higher the act scores.

Each member of The 100 who joins in scores the act one point, but since The 100 are a broad mix of ages and music backgrounds with big voices and bigger opinions, getting them all singing along is no easy task! Global pop icon Geri shares her expertise alongside established series one favourites including drag artist Divina De Campo, Brit School vocal coach Georg, gospel choir leader Mr. Fabulous, Tina Turner tribute act Tina T, cabaret host and resident grump Paulus and cockney singalong host Lili. They’re joined by some new recruits, YouTube sensation Talia Mar, punk artists and identical twins Bud and Aidan, RnB group Carreria 3 and boyband star Collabro’s Michael Auger.

Every act is hoping they can score high enough to qualify for the series final and the chance to win the £50,000 prize. The new series brings us outstanding talent, a huge range of musical styles and a load of laughs from host Rob, Geri and The 100.

The main series consists of six episodes, comprising of five heats and the final.

The Heats

During each heat, performers try to outscore their competitors in order to earn a seat on the top three podium. Whenever a performer scores high enough for a podium place, the act in 3rd place is eliminated as a result.

From each heat, two acts go through to the series final. Once all acts have sung, the 1st placed act with the highest score is guaranteed a place in the grand final. The acts in 2nd and 3rd perform again in a dramatic sing off. The highest scoring act in the sing off also goes through to the final. At the end of the series, just one act will walk away with the amazing £50,000 prize.

Prior to filming, all performers choose the song they want to sing. The 100 learn the words to all the songs before the show, but they don’t know who is going to come out and sing to them. Each song is approximately 90 seconds long, but importantly The 100 can only join in for the final 60 seconds as signified by a lighting change. This means that The 100 have the same amount of time to join in singing for every act.

Tiebreaks

In the event of a tied score, The 100 review the full performances of both acts on monitors in studio. Each member of The 100 decides which act they prefer and votes by pressing their button. The act with the most votes takes their seat on the podium, meaning that the act with the fewer votes either drops down a podium place or exits the competition.

In the event that the tiebreak vote is also tied, as captain of The 100, Geri Horner has the casting vote.

The Sing-Off

For the sing-off at the end of the show, the scores for the acts in 2nd and 3rd place are reset to zero. They then perform a new song chosen from the sing-off playlist, a collection of songs chosen by The 100 to really test them. It is possible that the same song is chosen by both acts.

During the sing-off, performers will be able to see their scores in studio so will know how many of The 100 are joining in.

The Final and the Prize

In the final, the ten finalists (the first placed performer and sing off winner from each heat) perform again in front of The 100 with a new song. This time, all three acts who finish in the top three podium seats sing again and the act with the highest score after this final sing off wins and is awarded the £50,000 cash prize.

Michael won the very first series of All Together Now, wowing The 100 with his performances, especially his rendition of Tina Turner's classic song ‘Proud Mary,' which got all 100 on their feet.

He has since had further success, recently winning ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Two's Eurovision You Decide. Michael will now represent the UK at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, with his song, 'Bigger Than Us'.

The 100

The 100 are a range of music experts and performers. They were cast to include a diverse mix of ages (minimum age 18 years old), backgrounds and a variety of music genres. As captain of The 100, Geri’s vote carries no extra weight. The only time Geri’s vote takes precedence is in the case of a tied vote in the Tie Break (see above).

The Performers

The Performers are a mix of soloists and groups. They were cast to include a diverse range of ages (minimum age 16 years old), backgrounds and genres, including Pop, Rock, Soul, Jazz, Musicals, and Classical. The casting was open to all and the show attracted performers with minimal public performance experience through to seasoned performers who have appeared on major stages and in renowned theatres. Acts perform with backing tracks although this series, they were permitted to accompany their backing track by playing instruments as part of their performance.

In December 2018, we launched the very first celebrity special of All Together Now. Facing The 100 in All Together Now Celebrities, were reality star Gemma Collins, football legend Chris Kamara, showbiz presenter Alison Hammond, EastEnders actress Laurie Brett, England rugby star Ben Foden, Love Island winner Amber Davies, comedian and actor Omid Djalili, stand-up comedian Sara Pascoe and actor Tyger Drew-Honey.

Each celeb hoped to give a show-stopping performance that got as many of The 100 up on their feet and singing along. The more that stood up and joined in, the higher the celebrity scored.

The three celebrities who finished in the top three podium seats, sang again at the end of the show with a song of their choice.
