Craig Ferguson comes to Craiglang: the comedian and late-night American talk show host joins the cast of Still Game

“He didn’t even ask what the character would be or to see a script or what his position would be in the episode.”
So says Still Game co-creator Ford Kiernan of , most famous since 2005 for his ten-year stint as host of his American talk show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
“We discovered only by accident that Craig liked Still Game. Greg [Hemphill, Still Game’s other co-creator] and I went out to America to write and we got in touch with him and he invited us around for a cup of tea.
“We got talking and he said how much he loved the programme so we asked if he’d be up for being in it.”
Greg describes Craig’s character as a “love interest of Isa’s called Callum who has been living in Los Angeles for years.
“He comes back to Craiglang to see if there’s still a spark there.”

After an early career in the UK as a musician, comedian and actor, Craig Ferguson moved to the USA in 1994.
His breakthrough there was as a main character in the sitcom The Drew Carey Show.
