Louis Theroux joins 6 Music for two special shows, sharing the songs he loves and digging deep into curious musical trends – such as the use of onomatopoeia in music. Episode 1 is available from Sun 11 Aug, 4pm
We asked Louis to share some insight into his musical past and present. He discussed the first record he bought (during a regrettable Mod phase), his most memorable gigs, and his least favourite music genre.
He also revealed the music he currently listens to, from Frank Ocean ("If I’m left to my own devices, I find myself listening to [him] a lot") to his kids’ favourite artists, hip-hop heavyweights such as Stormzy, Skepta, Donae’o, Offset and Lil Pump.
"I’ve [also] got a weird soft spot for Post Malone, for some reason. I don’t feel bad about it. I like Post Malone, it is what it is."
