Scotland’s first national park, it is home to stunning, diverse countryside that includes lochs, mountains, islands, and forest. Unsurprisingly, it is the nation’s most popular countryside destination and very year it plays host to around four million visitors.

- It comprises four areas - Breadalbane, Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, and Argyll Forest Park
- It is home to over 15,000 people
- It has 21 Munros – including Ben Lomond, Ben Lui and Ben More
- It also has 19 smaller Corbett mountains
- It has two forest parks – Queen Elizabeth and Argyll
- It is the fourth largest national park in the Britain Isles
- It geographically separates the Highlands and lowlands of Scotland along the Highland Boundary Fault line
