The holistic hairdresser who counsels her clients during haircuts
Hairdresser Rachel provides haircuts with a difference.
On Mirror Mirror, she described her unique ability to help counsel clients going through difficult times.
“When I’m doing my holistic hairdressing, a spirit can come in and out of the energy.”
Client Grace’s husband of 55 years, Robert, recently passed away — a scenario Rachel felt well-suited to deal with.
“Grace came in and her husband Robert came in, just to say ‘Hi’.”
Losing your partner of 55 years
Grace, coming to terms with the difficult process of grieving for her partner, Robert.
Rachel was on hand to provide a comforting hug to her visibly upset client.
And she offered further comfort by sharing her belief that Grace’s husband would always be with her, including examples of his ‘presence’ during the making of a cake and the otherwise-unexplained rearrangement of books in the marital home.
At the end of the haircut – and having given Grace peace of mind – Rachel reflected on how integral grief is in our lives.
“We all grieve. It’s part of the healing process.”
