Has minimum pricing for alcohol changed Scots’ drinking habits?

The price of cheap, high-strength alcohol went up in Scotland in May 2018 when legislation about minimum pricing came into force. The Scottish government said the move would cut consumption and save lives, but alcohol sales actually rose in the year that followed.

For the new TV programme Sanjeev Kohli’s Big Talk, Darren McGarvey – aka Loki, the rapper – asked some members of the public for their views on the legislation’s effect and what they’d expect to pay for their booze.
