Still Game’s Auld Eric, Craiglang’s beloved teller of tall tales, has bid a final fond farewell to his beloved Clansman

Jack and Victor pause for a moment to remember their pal Eric ‘Auld Eric’ Jones, who left Craiglang in — the second episode of ’s 8th series, first shown on 15 March 2018.
Played by James Martin, the character of Eric acted younger than his age. The retired fireman spent a lot of his time in The Clansman on the fruit machine.
Eric was known for telling tall tales, claiming to have had a romantic wartime dalliance with the actress Gina Lollobrigida whilst on shore leave in Italy.
Whatever the truth, the memories were sweet. Here’s tae Auld Eric!
