Two Minute Tales 2023: What Happened this Winter Privacy Notice

[Two Minute Tales 2023: What Happened this Winter Privacy Notice for Young People is available here]

Your trust is very important to us. This means the 成人快手 is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such personal data. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal data about you during and after your relationship with us, in accordance with data protection law.

Why are we doing this and how can you participate?

The 成人快手 is giving children and young people living in Northern Ireland the chance to submit a short story to feature in this year’s ‘Two Minute Tales’. The theme this year is ‘What Happened this Winter…’. Each of the finalists will receive a specially created illustration depicting their story, or a scene from it.

Entries can be sent to us online, by email, or by post.

If entries are submitted online, the 成人快手 will collect the personal data via an online platform used by the 成人快手.
This year we have two language categories – one category for stories written in English, and a second category for stories written in Irish.

We will split entries in the English language category into three (3) age groups:

  • 5 to 8 year olds
  • 9 to 12 year olds
  • and 13 to 16 year olds

There will be three (3) finalists in each English language age group. We will then pick one (1) winning story for each age group.

Three (3) finalists will be selected in the Irish language category. We will then pick one (1) winning story from this category.

The twelve (12) finalists will have their short stories read out by actors on 成人快手 Radio Ulster. We will also ask the finalists to appear live on radio to talk about their story. When the finalists appear on live radio their full name will be announced on air, and their full name will be shown next to their story on the 成人快手 Northern Ireland Two Minute Tales programme webpage. All the stories shown on the ‘Two Minute Tales’ programme webpage will include the specially created story illustration.

The finalists’ stories will also feature in an illustrated book along with their full name, and age. The book will be available for download on the programme webpage.

The four (4) winners will be chosen by an external panel of judges. The winners will have their story animated and shared on 成人快手 Northern Ireland social media platforms and programme pages.

All entries must be approved by the child’s parent/guardian. Teachers may submit entries so long as they have obtained parental/guardian approval first, and we ask that teachers are also presented with this privacy notice.

When your child contributes to the 成人快手, we may use their contribution in our programmes or content, but we cannot promise to use everything that we receive. If we broadcast their contribution (including on live radio) this may include the programme being available online and/or on demand, and their contribution may be used again in a future broadcast. It may also include use on the 成人快手’s social media channels.

For information in relation to how the 成人快手 will process your personal data where you are providing contributions to our programmes, please see our Privacy Notice for Contributors .
