Nessie hunters have tried . Some have even .

But back in 1975 firefighters from Hemel Hempstead, near London, decided that they could get Nessie to come to them. All they needed ; pop one of those in the water and nature would take its course.

In the Nationwide clip below, she’s revealed in all her glory.

Hempstead firefighters built a honey trap for the Loch Ness Monster.

Unfortunately, their creation was damaged due to a collision with the jetty and the mission had to be abandoned.

Nessie remains at large.
