Radio 5 Live's new-look weekend line-up revealed

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 5 Live

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 5 Live's exciting new weekend line-up launches this Saturday with an explosive combination of new and returning shows from Danny Baker, Chris Warburton, Chris Addison, John Pienaar, Declan Curry and Adrian Goldberg, plus live coverage of the weekend's League One matches, Premiership Rugby Union and 1st International Twenty20 between England v Pakistan.

The Danny Baker Show (Saturdays, 9-11am) returns to 5 Live on Saturday 4 September to kick off a new season of Saturday morning sporting fun with fans and special guests. Joining Danny for the opening programme will be Paul Watson, the world's youngest international football coach with latest team news from the Micronesian state of Pohnpei, plus comedy writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, providing the perfect warm up to the day's live sporting action. The programme is also available to watch in-vision under the red button and via .

5 Live Sport will bring sports fans live coverage from the afternoon's League One Games, Premier Rugby Union Championship coverage, plus reports from the US Open in Flushing Meadows, New York.

On Saturday night the brand-new news show Saturday Edition With Chris Warburton will have its first airing from 8pm. Chris will present the day's news, in addition to bringing listeners all the quirkiest stories from the web with podcasters Olly Man and Helen Zaltzman and reports on the latest technological news.

Kicking off the new look 5 Live schedule on Sunday 5 September, comedian Chris Addison returns with 7 Day Sunday (Sundays,11am-12noon), where he will be joined by regular guest Andy Zaltzman and special one-off guests, presenter Marquita Oliver and journalist Toby Young, to pull apart the week's big stories and see what makes them tick.

After an afternoon offering of live sport coverage from 5 Live Sport, the focus will be on the 1st International Twenty20 between England v Pakistan in Cardiff and Rugby Union Premiership commentary of Northampton v Leicester, 5 Live will bring the cream of business, politics and current affairs programming to the Sunday evening schedule.

From 7pm John Pienaar, 5 Live's chief political correspondent, will present Pienaar's Politics. Pienaar's reputation as a well known and respected figure in Westminster means listeners can expect to hear intimate interviews with key political figures in addition to his acute analysis of the big events in the political calendar.

At 8pm, former ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Breakfast and Working Lunch presenter Declan Curry will present On The Money (Sundays, 8-9pm) with special guests Moray MacLennan, Worldwide CEO, M&C Saatchi; Julie Meyer, Online Dragon; and Rachel Bridgewill, Enterprise editor of the Sunday Times, who will pick over the big business stories of the week. Radio 5 Live Drive's business reporter, Steph McGovern, will be pulling on her wellies as she starts her Sunday Shift feature down on a farm in South Wales by looking at the people at work while others rest.

Former Watchdog presenter Adrian Goldberg completes the Sunday evening line-up with the new hard hitting investigative journalism show 5 Live Investigates (Sundays, 9-10pm).

Each week Adrian and the team will deliver original stories and probing investigative journalism including championing listener-generated issues. This highly anticipated series will open with an in-depth look at how a company run by the man linked to the proposed £300m takeover of Blackburn Rovers has been shrouded by controversy since being told to cease trading.

Sunday on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 5 Live Sports Extra also offers uninterrupted commentary on England v Pakistan in the first Twenty20 International and live coverage from the Major League Baseball.
