³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Asian Network is set to host one of Leicester's largest cultural events, Village India & Experience Gujarat.
The event, which is expected to attract over 40,000 people, takes place from 10 to 13 September 2009 in the grounds and auditorium of De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester, and there will be a complete reconstruction of an Indian village to add to the whole experience.
³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Asian Network presenters Jas Rao and Bobby Friction, along with popular Gujarati show presenters Dev Parmar, Jayna Shah and Mahesh Nathwani, will take centre stage and host the Village India main stage.
The mammoth three-day event comprises live music and entertainment from big names including Gujarati stars Parthiv Gohil and Aishwarya Majumdar, alongside kings of bhangra Jazzy B and Sukshinder Shinda. The fully interactive Asian Network DJ Wagon will be located on site.
DJs Bobby Friction, Sonny Ji and DJ Kayper are set to drop the freshest beats, while visitors have the chance to star in their own Bollywood movie poster.
Budding singers, meanwhile, can perform their favourite Bollywood songs from the past and present in the karaoke tent.
Jas Rao says: "We can't wait to get there – it's going to be a fantastic weekend.
"The Asian Network wagon is brilliant – we'll be bringing you the very best in music, plus the chance to step into the shoes of the legendary Shah Rukh Khan or Bollywood beauty Ashwariya Rai by having your picture taken in our special booth – and then there's singing, too. Who could ask for more? Come along and see us there!"
